How To Find A Perfect Golf Swing

I’ve got to get this off my chest. I’m so tired of seeing endless ads everywhere telling golfers that they have a “death move” or scaring golfers into thinking their swing is somehow all screwed up.

Don’t believe it! Your swing is good enough to go low. Period.

If you do buy into the belief that you have to have a certain type of swing in order to improve your game, you’re just going to be spinning your wheels in this game for a long time. Not fun.

How do I know? Well, I for one, did exactly that. Yep, I bought into all of that for 2 decades until I freed myself from it and only then did I break 80, my long-standing goal in golf.

Since then, I’ve broken par, turned myself into a single-digit-handicap golfer and now teach golfers all over the world how to do it for themselves. That’s why you’re here.

Watch this video to find out the truth about “the perfect golf swing.” When you’re done with the video, GO HERE to find out how you can go low with the swing you already have.

Hi Craig Sigl here, author of the book: “Break 80! 52 ways to lower your golf score without practice”

Here’s the 80/20 shortcut secret to a perfect golf swing. Are you ready? drumroll please…You already have it. It’s already there and you’ve used it. It’s just a matter of internal communication for you to be able to call upon it. If you’ve ever hit a great shot with your clubs, then you have the DNA and memory to do it again…and again…

But, you will never find it if you are on this quest to “perfect” your swing. For most amateurs and weekend players, you will be wasting tons of time and energy constantly trying to tweak your swing. If you have the basic fundamentals…and most golfers do, then your swing is good enough right now to shoot in the 70’s.

Let go of the idea that there is such a perfect swing or that you should chase it. It doesn’t exist…
So many golfers are totally brainwashed by the golf industry! They think that to improve their score they have to fix their swing. FALSE! It’s pictures and analysis like this that actually holds you back. You see things like this and then you stop trusting your swing TRUST is much more important than perfect. Get off that hamster wheel of swing perfection and know that you’ve got the shots in your bag, in your body, right now to shoot your best lifetime score.

instead, focus your entire energy on having a repeatable swing. Look at these golfers who have vastly different swings…and they all work at the top levels of golf. Yours can too. You can develop a repeatable swing by hitting thousands of balls in practice…OR, you can stick with me here and I’ll teach you how to do it.

Stay tuned…

    What a load rubbish.

      Hi David,

Thanks for commenting…really. I even want to hear the negative comments. What in particular do you disagree with? How does the methodology you are using now work for you? I’m ready to debate any point I made here or anywhere in my trainings. I live what I teach and back everything up with sound logic and rational thinking. Bring it!

How come I can ususlly hit my driver, but I stink with my irons ?.

    • Craig Sigl says:

Hi Frank, hmmm. Could be many reasons, mental or physical. On the mental side, I find that it’s often the “favorite club” syndrome. In other words, we have a string of good shots with a particular club which develops a belief in that club. That belief keeps a self-fulfilling prophecy going and you keep playing well with that club. Perhaps it’s the opposite of that with your irons? Something to think about…

Craig is right on this. I developed a great trust in my driver when I was very young. Now at 76 I can pull it out of my bag and hit it with confidence. My long irons? Forget it. I still have not developed TRUST in the loft of those club and always have a fear of not hitting them well. When I do, well, it just happened.

Craig’s series has confirmed what I have always thought about hitting a shot. Just do it!

        • Craig Sigl says:

Thanks Charlie! What holds you back from trusting your irons? I understand you’ve had shots with them…but so is that the case with all your clubs…why are irons any different? Trust comes first and THEN more good shots happen, not the other way around. TRUST is a decision and it works when you don’t berate yourself for the bad shots…
          greens and fairways,

I find that people that have difficulty with irons while hitting woods well or vise-versa need to check their ball position. Usually, this can solve their problem. Keep your same swing, It’s too hard to change.

I am definitely agree with CRAIG. If somebody at least once in his / her game does it…why not should do again, and again ? Maybe is because his / her flight’s partner ? Maybe is because his / her fit shape ? Maybe it is because of all the magazines ( I have monthly abo for 3 ! ), or maybe everybody wants TIGER, or RORY, or…SERGIO’s swing ? I don’t know…but I strongly believe that everybody can do in the same good quality FIRST SHOT ( as most of the people makes the SECOND SHOT , from the tee, after out of bound, of water hazard ) .
Could be a problem of your newest driver, or very special clubs ? Yes, it could be…but I THINK the most important problem is in your CONFIDENCE !!! I am coming from a poor country, and right now I am playing golf in a great country. I AM ASTONISHING when I have seen very ( but really very ! ) frustrated people along the golf courses ! How can they be calm and relaxe for mental strong ? Never be… And it seems to me ( whim already play golf on 6 continents, in 30 countries all over the world ) that they will never be calm and relax. What is the consequence ? They play rubbish. Final of the day…they are miserabile inside, very frustrated and go for a local beer ( or more ) ! You can recognize them in golf tournaments…they are accusing everybody for a small noise ( no matter if a plain is flying above all, they ” heard your zip ” ) . Bull*&^% ! The main problem is in every golfer’s mind. Who are not believing this…deserves his score, my opinion…

    • Craig Sigl says:

Thanks for commenting Danut. You nailed it with a lot of typical golfers out there. The game is supposed to be fun…and we know that we play better, on average, when we are in a good state…and yet, golfers are so focused on score that when they have a bad shot or hole, they put themselves in a bad state and then have trouble scoring as a result. Total setup formula for frustration. I look forward to more of your observations.

      Greens and Fairways,

  5. NameDanut says:

And of course…regarding iron and driver ‘ s swing, there are few differences . It’s all about the shallow for the driver and ascending trajectory for the ball , and the upright for the irons, and descending trajectory for the ball . Between them is the rescue and wood’s swing shape, which is more flately …

    • Craig Sigl says:

Yes Danut, you perfectly illustrate how easy it is to get all twisted up in swing theories and mechanics. I don’t think of any of it. I just swing with the intention of sending my ball to a target and let my body do the work.
