Before setting your scoring goal, you should realize that your mindset going forward is just as important as the number you choose.
Far too many golfers are on a linear track to achieve their golf goals. This works for normal life success very well. Golf, on the other hand, will not be conquered that way for most people. Listen to how Craig discusses the beginnings of this and how you would do well to open the doors to golf’s secrets. The audio below was taken from an actual coaching call from 2015 golf class.
I really like all your tips and have successfully executed most of tips recommended by you. I love to read all things you say about gold. It would indeed be a loss to many of us who are trying to understand this extremely tricky game mainly because you explain everything in a very interesting and simple manner.
Thank you Dhruv, I appreciate the commment very much. I’ll keep bringing it!!

I know the basics of swing plane and have that down. What interests me about you is the mind set you teach. I go along doing just fine but have that blow up hole and just can’t seem to leave it at the last hole,it goes with me for several holes. So with your lessons I am trying to learn how to just let that bad hole go.
Hey John, the key to doing that is to switch your reason for playing golf from going for a particular score to another reason that has nothing to do with score. When you have a blow up score, you focus on it because score is your reason for playing the game. Change the reason and then the blow up hole will just be a blow up hole and you can move on to the next hole without carrying it with you there.

I am trying to get blow up hole blown away I have been getting better two holes still to work on but getting it slow
Hey Jock, blow up holes come from compounding one mistake into another. We need to accept a mistake as it is and go back to our consistency method. We don’t want to bring one shot to the next. Every shot stands by itself. Even with that, sometimes, 2 bad shots still occur one after the other. Accept that, it’s part of the game and it even happens to pros. It doesn’t mean anything.

Craig
