Andy Gorman Tour Putting Coach

You can ignore the host telling you have to watch Part 1, you don’t. There’s a lot of blah blah there and he actually covers what you need to know here. I watched it to save you the time. (By the way, I don’t know anything about the host, Rick)  I just spent the time to find a great putting instructor for you and some of HIS best FREE instruction.

Really pay attention to the main point at the 4 minute mark. It’s the lie angle that’s critical and the putter and posture create variables that you have to get right to give yourself the best chance to be consistent.

Andy has an awesome program you might want to check out:  Putting Myths Destroyed

Some of the very best players in the world entrust Andy with their “putt for dough” department Just a couple of his current students include several: National Team Players, PGA Club Pro’s, Tour Players on the European Tour, LPGA, LET and Challenge Tour… just some are;

  • Robert Rock, 2012 HSBC Abu Dhabi Champion
  • Peter Lawrie, European Tour
  • Steven O’Hara, European Tour
  • Steve Webster, European Tour
  • Charley Hull, LPGA and Solheim Cup Rookie Star
  • Alison Nicholas, 1997 US Open Champion & Winning Solheim Cup Captain.
  • Plus he’s coached thousands of regular golfer’s
  • Coached 9 youngsters into US College Scholarships.
  • Coached the Jamaican National Team from 1997-2001.
  • Coached numerous European Tour players as well as European Ladies Tour players.
  • Coached club players and weekend warriors to transform their games from the long game to sinking putts.

I tell you these things, not to impress you, but to impress upon you that Andy Gorman really knows what he’s talking about when it comes to golf.

Thanks Craig – I think that’s the first time I’ve heard about getting fitted for a putter. I picked one out a few years ago when I started playing, but simply chose one that felt good, looked. Now I’ll have to check to see if it fits!

Spring is still a long ways away here in northern VT – 2 feet of solid snow on the ground, below zero at night. But chances are we’ll be playing in another 4 weeks!

Hi Mark, I know huh? Me too. It totally makes sense though. I think I’ve been fitting my body to the putter instead of the other way around. I like my putter head but maybe I can get the shaft shortened for my height.

    Greens and Fairways,

Thanks for this Craig. Lots of things that i had not heard about putting. On the green tomorrow!

Thanks Craig, I really appreciate this email. As we have heard for so long you can cut a lot of strokes off your game by not 3 putting. So, for the average golfer it seems that they should get their putter tuned up which will cost far less than buying and trying new clubs.

I think it’s way underrated. One round a few years ago, I had left my putter at home but had my son’s “kiddie” putter in
my bag and used it. It was really short but I ended up putting better that day than with my own putter. I thought it was
a fluke so I dismissed it. Maybe it let my arms hang down more naturally? Hmmmmm
